Day 1: Depart USA

Location : USA

Depart Denver on a flight to Mexico City. Upon arrival, we are greeted by our tour escort and transferred to the hotel. Our first stop is Tepeyac Hill from where we see the Shrine of Our Lady of Guadalupe, which we will visit on Thursday. Mass will be celebrated. Settle into the hotel in the historical area of Zona Rosa, brimming with shops, markets, and restaurants. Dinner in the hotel and overnight stay in Mexico City. (D)

Day 2: MEXICO CITY AND THE MUSEUMS

Location : Mexico City, Mexico

This morning, we enjoy breakfast at the hotel, followed by a visit to the Zocolo National Palace (outside view) and the Metropolitan Cathedral, where we celebrated Mass. In the afternoon we visit Templo Mayor Museum and the Anthropology Museum. Tonight you have an opportunity to taste authentic Mexican food in one of the many restaurants near your hotel. Day 3: MEXICO CITY: BLESSED MIGUEL PRO – PYRAMIDS OF THE SUN AND THE MOON

Location : Mexico City, CDMX, Mexico

This morning after breakfast, we visit the Holy Family Church to see the tomb of the Jesuit martyr, Blessed Miguel Agustin Pro. Fr. Pro was persecuted, exiled, and condemned for his beliefs. He still managed to help many people through their struggles. His final words before the authorities shot him were “Viva Cristo Rey!” - “Long Live Christ the King!” We celebrate Mass here. We enjoy lunch and a guacamole making demonstration before exploring the Pyramids of the Sun and the Moon. This evening we will enjoy dinner at a local restaurant. Overnight Mexico City. (B.L.D.)

Day 4: OUR LADY OF GUADALUPE

Location : Mexico City, Mexico

Following breakfast, we go to the Calzada de los Misterios to begin our procession to the Shrine of Our Lady of Guadalupe. We will process with a statue of Our Lady and flowers. Upon arrival at the shrine we celebrate Mass at the Chapel of San Jose then proceed to see the Tilma. We have the entire day at the Shrine to explore the grounds — including the Museum, Capilla del Cerrito, and Chapel of the Indians. Lunch is on your own at any of the many cafes adjacent to the shrine. Before returning to the hotel we will visit the Bishop’s House, where the miracle of the flowers took place when St. Juan Diego poured out the roses onto the floor and revealed the miraculous image. We conclude the day with a celebration farewell dinner. Overnight in Mexico City. (B, Farewell dinner)

Day 5: RETURN TO USA

Location : USA

Following breakfast, we check out of the hotel and visit the Church of the Fifth Apparition where the Blessed Virgin appeared to and healed Juan Bernardino, Juan Diego’s uncle. We celebrate Mass before driving to the airport for our flight home to Denver. (B)
