Day 2: Paris

Location : Paris, France

Welcome to France! Upon arrival in Paris, we are greeted by our English-speaking tour guide and assisted with the transfer to the city. Celebrate Mass at the Chapel of Miraculous Medal, and visit the nearby Church of St. Vincent de Paul. (TBC) Overnight in Paris. (D)

Day 3: Nevers

Location : Nevers, France

Today we travel to Nevers and see the places associated with St. Bernadette. We visit the Convent of St. Gildard and the chapel containing the incorrupt body of St. Bernadette. See the museum with historical documents, see the statue of Our Lady of Waters, Bernadette’s favorite statue and a replica of Lourdes Grotto. Lunch at the convent. Mass will be celebrated. In the afternoon we return to Paris. Overnight in Paris. (B.L.D)

Day 4: PARIS – LOURDES

Location : Paris, France

This morning, we have a panoramic tour of Paris and celebrate Mass. We see by bus the famous sites such as Champs Elysee, the Arc de Triomphe, the Eiffel Tower, Notre Dame Cathedral (outside view), the Madeleine Church (outside view) before we travel to Montparnasse train station in time to board the afternoon TGV train to Lourdes. Upon arrival in Lourdes, we are transferred to our hotel. Dinner and overnight in Lourdes. (B.D)

Day 5: LOURDES

Location : Lourdes, France

We start the day with Mass, followed by an opportunity to visit St. Bernadette’s home, the Basilica of the Immaculate Conception, the Miraculous Spring, the Shrine of Bernadette, and the 12th-century castle. You may choose to drink the water in the Baths, where miraculous cures have taken place, and pray at Stations of the Cross. In the afternoon, we attend the Blessing of the Sick, and in the evening, we join the spectacular Candlelight Procession, where thousands of visitors pray the rosary and sing hymns in honor of the Mother of God. Dinner and overnight in Lourdes. (B.D)

Day 7: AVILA

Location : Ávila‎, Spain

After breakfast, we depart from Lourdes to Avila, the city of St. Theresa. En route we celebrate Mass (TBC) at the 17th-century Sanctuary of Loyola, built in honor of San Ignacio de Loyola, founder of the Jesuit religious order. View the spectacular dome and main altarpiece, built in marble and jasper. We arrive in Avila and explore the city. Overnight in Avila. (B.D)

Day 8: SANTIAGO DE COMPOSTELA

Location : Santiago de Compostela, Spain

This morning we depart for O Cebreiro, the first Galician village on the Pilgrim’s Way, where the miracle of the “holy grail” is said to have occurred. Upon arrival, after we check into our hotel, we see the Cathedral built in honor of St. James, the first pilgrim, where we celebrate Mass. Visit the tomb of the Apostle and his disciples, St. Theodore and St. Athanasius. St. James was given the task of spreading Christianity in distant Hispanic lands. Also, see the Church of San Francisco, built in honor of St. Francis of Assisi after his pilgrimage to the area. Mass will be celebrated. Overnight in Santiago De Compostela. (B.D)

Day 9: PONTEVEDRA – PORTO

Location : Porto, Portugal

After breakfast, we board our motor coach and head for Pontevedra, the largest Marian Shrine in Spain. Also known for its well-preserved old town and Gothic Santa María la Mayor Basilica. The Ruínas de San Domingos are the remains of a 14th-century convent. We continue on to Braga to see the Shrine of Good Jesus of the Mountain (Santuário Bom Jesús do Monte), a magnificent hilltop shrine surrounded by a lush forest. We have lunch at the restaurant on the grounds of the shrine. Explore the grounds, perhaps walking all the way up the Baroque double stairway to the top (381 feet) or taking the funicular, which dates back to the end of the 19th century. Spend some time in prayer at the shrine and exploring the magnificent interior of the church. Mass will be celebrated. Dinner is at leisure to explore dining and the beautiful night lights of Porto. Overnight in Porto. (B.L)

Day 10: FATIMA

Location : Fátima, Portugal

We drive to Fatima this morning to celebrate Mass at the Little Chapel of Apparitions, followed by a visit to the Basilica and the site of Francisco and Jacinta’s grave. This evening join the spectacular Candlelight Procession. Overnight Fatima. (B.D)

Day 11: FATIMA

Location : Fátima, Portugal

This morning we celebrate Mass at the Basilica. Continue with our visit, where we see the Chapel of Apparitions, the Blessed Jacinta and Blessed Francisco tombs, the Adoration Chapel, and the Miraculous Fountain. Rest of the afternoon at leisure. In the evening, join the Candlelight Procession. Dinner and overnight in Fatima. (B.D)

Location : Fátima, Portugal

Visit the hamlet of Aljustrel, where the children lived, and Valinhos, the site of our Lady’s appearance. In the afternoon, pray at the stations of the Via Sacra. Mass will be celebrated. In the evening, join the Candlelight Procession. Farewell dinner and overnight in Fatima. (B.D)
