After breakfast, we depart for the Allenby bridge border crossing, where we meet our guide and driver to head to Madaba, where we visit St. George’s Church and see the floor mosaic map of the Holy Land. Following an included lunch, we continue to Mt. Nebo, which according to ancient tradition, is the mountain from which Moses saw the Promised Land before he died. Mass will be celebrated. After breakfast, we drive down King’s Highway to visit Petra, where we view the Dam, the Siq, the magnificent façade, the Treasury, and many other Nabataean archeological remains. Lunch is included. Mass will be celebrated. Overnight at your hotel at the Dead Sea. (B.L.D)
September 15, Sunday, DAY 13: TEL AVIV – USA
We visit the Baptismal Site on the Jordanian side and check out of our hotel, crossing back into Israel. Following Mass at St. John’s Church in Jaffa and dinner, we are transferred to the airport for our flight home. (B.D)
