Day 3: NAZARETH – CANA

Location : Nazareth, Israel

This morning we travel to Nazareth to visit the Basilica of the Annunciation, where we celebrate Mass. We’ll also visit Saint Joseph’s Church. Next, we’ll visit the spot of the first miracle in Cana and have an opportunity for marriage vow renewals. Lunch and dinner included. Overnight on the Sea of Galilee. (B.L.D.)

Day 4: SEA OF GALILEE

Location : Sea of Galilee

This morning we sail across the Sea of Galilee. Next, we travel to Caesarea Philippi to the spot where Christ said “And I tell you, you are Peter, and on this rock, I will build my church, and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.” In the afternoon we visit Mt. of Beatitudes where we celebrate Mass and meet with the Franciscan Sisters who manage the pilgrims house at the site. We will have an afternoon of reflection at the site where Jesus gave His sermon on the Mount. Lunch and dinner included. Overnight on the Sea of Galilee. (B.L.D.)

Day 5: CAPERNAUM – MAGDALA – TABGHA – PETER’S PRIMACY

Location : Capernaum, Israel

We will visit Capernaum where we celebrate Mass and visit the church built over Peter’s home. Next, we drive to Tabgha where Jesus multiplied the loaves and fishes. We stop at the church of Peter’s Primacy right on the Sea of Galilee and visit Magdala before we head back to our hotel. Lunch and dinner included. Overnight on the Sea of Galilee. (B.L.D.)

Day 6: MT. TABOR – CESAREA MARITIMA – BETHLEHEM – SHARING THE BREAD DINNER

Location : Caesarea Maritima, Israel

This morning we drive to Mount Tabor and take taxis to the Basilica of Transfiguration, where we have Mass. Our next stop is Cesarea Maritima, the port from which St. Paul sailed on his missionary journeys. Then we will continue to Bethlehem. Tonight join the local Christians in their homes for “Sharing the Bread Dinner”. Overnight in Bethlehem. (B. Special dinner)

Day 7: BETHLEHEM – JERUSALEM

Location : Bethlehem

This morning we will do some shopping to support the local Palestinian Christians and visit Shepherd’s Field and the Church of the Nativity. We then head to Jerusalem, where we visit the Mount of Olives. Our walk down Palm Sunday Road takes us to Dominus Flevit, where Jesus wept over Jerusalem, then continue into the Garden of Gethsemane. We will visit the Church of Agony, the Grotto of Gethsemane, and the empty tomb of the Blessed Virgin Mary. Mass will be celebrated. Dinner is included. Overnight in Jerusalem. (B.D)

Day 8: JERUSALEM – EIN KAREM

Location : Ein Karem, Jerusalem, Israel

This morning we visit the Western Wall and the Temple Mount. We will go to Mount Zion to visit Saint Peter in Galicantu, Dormition Abbey, the Upper Room, and King David’s Tomb. Next, we will drive to Ein Kerem to the Church of the Visitation and the birthplace of Saint John the Baptist, where we celebrate Mass. Lunch and dinner included. Overnight in Jerusalem. (B.L.D)

Day 9: JERICHO – MT. OF TEMPTATION – THE BAPTISM SITE ON JORDAN RIVER – THE DEAD SEA

Location : Mount of Temptation

We drive through the Judean desert to Jericho and Mt. of Temptation (cable car ride to the top of the mountain). Following lunch we visit the Baptisam site on the River Jordan and have a float in the mineral rich waters of the Dead Sea. Mass will be celebrated. Return to Jerusalem for dinner and an overnight. Day 10: OLD CITY JERUSALEM

Location : Via Dolorosa, Jerusalem

We will begin with an early morning walk along the Via Dolorosa, ending with Mass at the Church of the Holy Sepulcher. We will visit the Church of Saint Ann and the Pools of Bethesda. Then it’s over to Ecce homo and Judgment Hall, where Jesus stood before Pontius Pilate. Lunch on your own. Tonight we enjoy a farewell dinner in a local restaurant. Overnight and dinner in Jerusalem.
