Pilgrimage to Medjugorje with Fr. Stephen Felicichia

Depart on an overnight flight from Chicago to Sarajevo. Dinner and breakfast are served on the plane. Premium economy and business class upgrades are available upon request. As we work with group air, the rules do not permit us to request specific seats on the flights. If you would like to have assigned seats, please book your own airline reservations and reserve the land-only portion of the trip with us.

We arrive at Sarajevo Airport, where our driver and Croatian tour guide greet us. We board our bus and receive a brief introduction to the city, followed by a private Mass at a local church. In the afternoon, we depart for Medjugorje. Settle into our hotel, enjoy dinner, and have a well-deserved night of rest. Overnight in Medjugorje. (D)

Breakfast and dinner are served daily at our hotel in Medjugorje. We have our first full day in Medjugorje to join in the English Mass at St. James Church, pray the Rosary, and meet any of the visionaries who may be currently in the village. Overnight at the hotel in Medjugorje. (B.D)

MEDJUGORJE PROGRAM
Breakfast and dinner will be served at your hotel. Some of the activities while on pilgrimage in Medjugorje will be:
• Daily English Mass at 10:00 AM at St. James Church.
• Climbing the Apparition Hill, where the visionaries first encountered Our Lady. At the base of this hill is the Blue Cross, where Our Lady appeared to the children while they hid from the communist police in the early days of the apparitions.
• Pray the Stations of the Cross while climbing Mt. Krizevac (Cross Mountain), built by the villagers in 1933.

Apparitions: Each evening at 5:00 PM or 6:00 PM (depending on daylight saving time), your group will join the villagers and fellow pilgrims in praying the Rosary as all await the arrival of Our Lady to the visionaries at 5:40 PM (6:40 PM during Daylight Saving Time). Afterward, you can attend the Croatian Mass at St. James Church. Following the Croatian Mass, there is a Blessing of the Sick. 

We participate in Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament on Tuesdays and Saturdays and the Veneration of the Cross on Fridays inside the church. There is also an Adoration Chapel on the grounds of St. James Church, where Adoration is held in the afternoon. Eucharistic Adoration is one of the most memorable experiences in Medjugorje.

Visit the Community of Cenacolo, founded by Sr. Elvira Petrozzi, for young men and women who have taken the wrong path and are on the road to recovery through the intercession of Our Lord Jesus Christ.

Praying at the Statue of the Risen Christ, from which water droplets seep out of Christ’s right knee.

Visit Tihaljina’s Immaculate Conception Parish Church, which contains the Our Lady of Grace statue, where we can have a private Mass for our group.

Visit the Kravice Waterfalls.

Dinner will be served at 5 PM each evening.

Following our wonderful week in Medjugorje, we check out of the hotel and drive towards Dubrovnik over the newly constructed bridge ‘Peljesac.’ Arriving in Dubrovnik, we head to the Old Town to celebrate Mass and have time to explore the city on our own. Dinner and an overnight stay are at a hotel in the Dubrovnik Area. (B.D)

After breakfast, we board our motorcoach and are transferred to the airport for our flight home.
